Search Engine Optimisation

Search Engine Optimisation, (SEO) or Website Optimisation

 How does it work?

When a web designer produces your new website, most of the time / effort will be spent on the design, colours, features, how it functions. If this part of the project works well, you’ll a have a great website that looks good and has all the website features your customers need. But typically, very little effort will go towards making your website easy for new customers to find – this aspect of your website is achieved through Search Engine Optimisation.

We specialise in Search Engine Optimisation where we work on increasing higher volumes of relevant customers (traffic) to your web site from search engines such as Google via their “natural” (organic or algorithmic) search results. In other words, it is a process of getting your website to the top of the search engine natural rankings and helping new customers find your website much easier. Typically, the higher your search engine ranking, the more visitors you will get to your website to impact on sales. When customers find your listing through Google’s natural/organic rankings and click on the link to your website  - it’s absolutely Free!

  • Almost 95% of people using the internet in Ireland will use Google as their preferred search engine – so getting it right on Google is where it counts.
  • People rarely browse beyond page 3 of the search results – so at worst, you need a top 30 ranking  (Each Google page contains typically 10 listings).
  • If people search for you on the web by company name, they already know you and are likely to be existing customers. Being found when new customers search for the products/services you offer is where the internet adds real value. This is where we come in.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) involves working with the code, structure and content on your website to improve your Google rankings. The first step is to understand your business / products / services. The next step is to perform keyword research to see how customers use Google and what keywords are chosen most often to describe your products/services online. Subtle changes in keywords and spelling can mean the difference between a few hundred or a few thousand potential new customers each month.
